XC9307/08 Negative Voltage, inverting DC/DC Converter

The XC9307 is a negative voltage output DC/DC converter, available in a small, low profile package measuring 1.8 x 2.0 x 0.4mm.

The internal switching frequency is 2.5MHz, which allows the user to select a small, low profile external coil.   A voltage inverting circuit can be built with a height of 0.65 mm or less including the external coil and capacitors.

Compared to a charge pump type solution, the switching method of the XC9307 maintains a stable output voltage even when the input voltage fluctuates. In addition, this new DC/DC converters can support maximum output current 300mA (when VIN = 3.3V, VOUT = -3.0V).

Output voltage can be adjusted within the range of -1.2V to -6.0V using externally mounted resistors.  The PWM controlled XC9307 series is ideal for applications where low noise is important.
