Adjustable 2A High Speed LDO Regulator with Reverse Current Protection


The XC6230 is a high-speed LDO regulator capable of delivery output currents up to 2A. The ON-resistance of the internal P-ch driver Transistor is only 0.17Ω (typ.) ensuring a stable output even when the dropout voltage is small, making this product ideal for a battery power applications or to regulate a low Voltage output from a DC/DC Converter.


The XC6230 includes in-rush current protection, reverse current protection, short circuit protection and a thermal shutdown circuit. The output voltage is adjustable and can be set within the range 1.2V to 5.0V. The current limit can also be fixed externally within the range 0.3A to 2.5A with a Resistor (RILIM).


The quiescent current is only 45μA reducing to 0.1μA in standby mode and the CL discharge function quickly discharges the output capacitor when the IC is turned off. The XC6230 is fully compatible with low ESR ceramic capacitors at the input and output stages.


The XC6230 is available in the ultra small USP-6C package (2.0 x 1.8 x 0.6mm) of the thermally enhanced SOP-8FD with enlarged GND tab.


The operating ambient temperature range is -40°C ~ 105°C.
