700mA High Speed LDO with Reverse Current Protection
Available in the tiny USP-6C package (1.8 x 2.0 x 0.6mm), as well as in standard SOT-25 and SOT-89-5 versions, the new XC6227 Series of voltage regulators offer exceptionally low dropout voltage – typically 120mV with a 300mA load (VOUT=3.0V). These high current, ultra-low dropout voltage regulators with reverse current protection provide a highly stable, low noise supply that meets the demands of battery-driven circuits as well as being optimised for use in back-up power circuits.
The reverse current protection circuit prevents damage to any connected products such as batteries which could occur as a result of current flowing from the VOUT pin to the VIN pin. Reverse current flow is limited to 1.5uA or less when the VIN voltage level is lower than the VOUT voltage level.
