Voltage Regulator with integrated Bridge Diode for Wireless Power Receiver Applications
The XCM414 series consist of four Schottky Barrier Diodes and a positive Voltage Regulator in a tiny, low profile package.
The four integral Schottky Barrier Diodes are configured in a bridge circuit which performs the full-wave rectification of an AC input so that the positive voltage regulator can generate a DC output. The Voltage Regulator circuit operates from inputs up to 26V and the output voltage is selectable from 2.0V to 12V in 0.1V increments.
In normal operation, the Voltage Regulator circuit consumes only 5μA, falling to 0.1μA in standby mode, making the XCM414 an attractive proposition wherever efficiency and power saving are key requirements.
Over-current protection and thermal shut-down circuits are built-in, so when the output current reaches the current limit or the junction temperature reaches the temperature limit, the corresponding circuit activates to protect the device.
Everything is integrated into the ultra-small USP-8B10 package, which measures 2.6mm x 2.9mm with a max. height of 0.33mm. The XCM414 is perfect for wirelessly powered Smart Cards and other applications where PCB space is at a premium or height is limited.
