Job Title:             European Sales Support Executive

Reporting To:     Business Development Manager


General Description of Position:

Based in our Coalville office, you will be working together with our internal and external sales teams and with our distributors to look after a wide range of small to medium size customers with a goal to develop their potential.

As part of our expanding Business Development team, this role is about building relationships with our customers so we can develop a better understanding of their activities and requirements, allowing us to sell more effectively to them.

Initial activities are often reactive – responding to customer requests, but increasingly we want to be more proactive, by contacting known customers in our database, who may not have dealt with us in recent times.  This proactive work often utilises LinkedIn to initiate/renew contacts with lapsed customers and then following up with calls or person to person emails.

You will be expected to use video calls over MS Teams with your customer base to help enhance existing relationships wherever possible and this will be an important element of this role.

A background, or active interest in, electronics or the sciences would be an advantage but is not a requirement. The candidate must demonstrate a willingness to learn about our products and should have a proven track record of selling a technical product or service, where they often referred to specifications and key selling points to help customers make informed decisions.

The role is office based but with opportunities in the future to travel to provide hands on design & sales support and to further build on the relationship with the customers and distributors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain strong relationships with both distributors and end customers
  2. Guide customers to the solutions that fit their needs while assuring customer satisfaction
  3. Collate and check information supplied by customers and distributors
  4. Represent the company and create opportunities to generate sales
  5. Support the sales team in managing new customer opportunities
  6. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple customers and sales opportunities
  7. Provide regular reports and update internal forecasts with new sales activities

Key Skills:

  1. IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  2. Experience with LinkedIn or similar
  3. Good time management and organisational skills with acute attention to detail.
  4. Basic project management skills.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build/maintain effective relationships both internally and externally.
  7. Proactive approach with great attention to detail and a business-mind
