The XC9213 is a Step-Down Synchronous N-Channel DC/DC controller incorporating an internal bootstrap circuit providing a solution capable of delivering output currents in excess of 5 Amps.

Targeting applications with a wide input voltage range, the XC9213 has an operating voltage range from 2.5V to 25V (30V absolute max.) Power conversion efficiencies of 93% are typical (VIN: 5V, VOUT: 3.3V @ 1A) with a switching frequency of 300kHz. The output voltage is set up externally via a potential divider in the range of 1.5V to 15V and internal reference voltage (1.2V +/- 1.5%). The MODE pin allows the user to select either Synchronous PWM or Non-Synchronous PWM/PFM auto-switching operations. In the auto-switching mode,the controller switches between PWM and current-limited PFM operation to maximize efficiencies at low output loads.
