The XC9215/16/17 series are synchronous DC/DC converters with a built in 0.5 ohm P-channel driver transistor and a 0.6 ohm N-channel switching transistor. Outputs of 600mA can be achieved at efficiencies over 90%. The XC9215 operates in synchronous PWM mode, the XC9216 is PWM/PFM auto switching and the switching operation of the XC9217 can be manually controlled between synchronous PWM and synchronous PFM/PWM switching using the CE/MODE pin.
Operating voltage is 2.0V~6.0V and output voltage range is 0.9V~4.0V (0.1V steps). Oscillation frequency is selectable from either 600kHz or 1.2MHz. The low output ripple performance makes the XC9215/16/17 series an ideal choice for noise sensitive RF applications such as Bluetooth and next generation mobile phones.
