XB1086 Series
1.5A Positive Voltage Regulator
The XB1086 series is a 1.5A low-dropout positive voltage regulator, available with 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5.0V fixed output voltages (XB1086P). An adjustable output voltage variant is also available (XB1086K) where the voltage is set by external resistors. Maximum input voltage is 15V.
A max 1.5A output current can be generated with a low 1.3V (typ) dropout voltage. The built-in over-current and thermal protection circuits operate when either output current reaches the current limit level or junction temperature limit is reached. The XB1086 series provides stable input and load stability as well as stable temperature variation by using a 10µF tantalum capacitor for the input (CIN) and a 22µF tantalum capacitor for the output (CL).
The XB1086 is available in a TO-252 package.
