Step-up Charge Pump Converter

The XC9801 is a family of regulated step-up Charge Pump ICs aimed at white LED and other simple step-up (boost) applications. Using only three external ceramic capacitors the XC9801/02 provides a very cost effective, step-up solution.

Regulation is achieved by control of the charge pump’s gate voltage waveform so output ripple is minimized. By connecting the SENSE pin to GND the XC9801 can also be used as voltage doubler.

The XC9801 is available in MSOP-8A and USP-8 (chip-scale) packages.
